Trampoline Safety

Trampoline safety is often disregarded by both parents and their children, as the parents simply look at the price tag of a trampoline, and the children don’t consider the dangers when using it. It’s understandable that both parties act like this, you can’t blame people for looking for a bargain, and you can’t blame children for being too excited to recognise safety hazards. You can however blame the retailer, who is selling an unsafe trampoline with a low number of trampoline springs, trampoline pads of insufficient thickness and no trampoline safety enclosure.

When you buy a trampoline, it’s important that it has enough trampoline springs to offer a responsive bounce, and more important a safe bounce. Trampoline pads should always be thicker than 20mm, preferably 25mm. Some trampolines like the Skyhigh Xtreme 360 trampoline range have 35mm trampoline pads and an enormous amount of trampoline springs.

If you buy a trampoline and safety net package, you’re getting good value for money and a safe trampoline (as long as the trampoline specification is ok). Buying a trampoline without an enclosure means that the user is at risk of severe injury, and they will be unable to do tricks and stunts. A trampoline safety enclosure is a fundamental trampoline accessory and without it the user of your trampoline is not completely safe.
